The Scottish Jewish Heritage Centre (SJHC) is seeking people with experience of museum and heritage education, and individuals with teaching experience, to join our Education Advisory group. The SJHC runs visits for primary and secondary schools, using the historic building of Garnethill Synagogue and archive collections to support learning about Judaism, migration, refugees and the Holocaust. We would like the group to help us assess our current education offer and develop new resources for formal and informal education. The group will report to the SJHC Manager, who runs the Centre’s educational services, and act as a support to the Manager. No previous experience of being on a Board or advisory group is required – any previous teaching and/or educational experience desirable.
What’s Involved
The group will meet 4 times per year in Glasgow. There may be occasional meetings via Zoom. This is an unpaid role, but travel expenses can be reimbursed.
